The Sensor Platform provides a set of APIs for discovery of and communication with sensor devices that will enable a new generation of applications that are aware of their environments. The Location Platform provides new APIs for using location data from a global positioning system (GPS) receiver or other services that enable location-specific application behavior for mobile users.
